At South Shields Golf Club we take Health & Safety serious, our Policy Statement can be found on the clubs notice board
We assess risk based on Likelihood and Severity and work towards a risk reduction plan.
Golf by nature is played over a large area of natural and defined terrain and as such stability of the ground , the condition of the ground and the likelihood of a slip , trip or fall is highly likely . Therefore all Golfers and Walkers enter the grounds at their own risk. The golf course is a natural habitat for burrowing animals and as such care should be taken when walking in areas where the ground cannot be easily seen for long grass cover.
During the winter months – the likelihood of ice forming on man-made parts of the course is highly likely and great care should be taken and the correct footwear should be worn to counter any Icy conditions
