Golf can sometimes be seen as a complicated game with too many rules and regulations that can if not followed make the game less enjoyable.
Golf has many types of competitive formats in individual games to pairs and teams of four.
We mainly play Stableford ( a points game that allows for quick golf as you can have a bad hole but still create a great winning score)
other formats are
Medals that requires every shot on every hole to be accounted for
Maximum Score Medals that allows you to pick up and move on when you get to ten on a hole
Bogey – an unpopular format which you either win lose or draw against the par for the hole
Other formats exist which are Foursomes and Greensomes which are a specific type of pairs competition
The most popular team event is a Texas Scramble
BELOW WE HAVE SIGNPOSTED WHAT YOU AS A PLAYER MUST COMPLY WITH WHEN MARKING A CARD AND ALSO HOW EACH FORMAT EXPECTS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WAY IN KEEPING SCORE FOR YOUR PLAYING OPPONENTS.
Remember the rules of golf are clear and each player is expected to follow these rules
